Mag Rattle in Surgeon DBM

Just installed a Surgeon DBM setup in a McMillan A5 (700 SA) and was surprised by how much the mags (5 or 10 rounders) moved and rattled in the well. Not going to sneak up on anything with that racket ...

One caveat ... I don't have a bolt in the gun right now (getting BO knob installed) so that might make a difference

Is this common? I assume I can shim the mags with tape or something but would just like to know if this is normal.

A loaded mag will be under tension with a bolt installed. Just shoot the fucking thing.

It is normal. Not very mag is the same in dimensions. You will be fine. When the bolt goes in its good to go.

i just put a ptg on my 700 and got a deal on some c products aics clones they fit really fucking loose but they function flawlessly. i put 100 rounds thru it right when i got the mags and not one problem other than they are loose and i dont like that but for 30 bucks a pop i cant complain. ima shoot the piss out of them and then buy some real aics mags, but for now they are good enough

All DBMs rattle...surgeon WAY less than the others.
