mag restriction

I have a question about this, i live in a state with no mag restriction laws ( yet ) how ever if i buy 12 round usp mags that say gov/law only on the mag do i have an illegal magazine ?

idk about any other companies cause i am really only into hk guns, not an hk snob but they are just more attractive to me, hk will not sell me a 0-1-3-25 lower ( just an example ) but hkparts.net will sell me that complete lower, so did hk parts sell it to me illegally ? i know if i dont convert that lower and use it, yes i broke the law.

I got into it with my dad because he feels my ump mags are illegal because they say "restricted" on them, he feels if hk wont sell it to me directly then adam at hk parts broke hk's policy and i obtained my ump mags illegally.

iam not sure how to get it across to him that its ok for parts distributors to sell parts like that to civilians they just couldnt sell me a complete ump.

I am also trying to figure the mag restriction band thing that they are going to try and pass out, does this mean i have to dump my high caps ? can i buy high caps at my dealers still ?

can any one explain this to me so i can explain it to him ?

and yes i know HK is a bunch of nazi fucks... i hate the company but i like a lot of the products so

Bottom line if there is no local law in either your state, city county then the magazine can be owned in that jurisdiction. The labeling on the magazine has no impact on the legality. This labeling was a disclaimer for the manufacturer so they could continue to manufacture and sell and sell the high cap magazines to exempt entities(government, LEA, military). The markings established what magazines were "legal" under and after the date set out in the Federal Assault Weapons Ban that sunset and is no longer a federal law.

There was a federal ban for 10 years which is why those markings exist. HK mags have date codes on them just like the guns do, check it out.

Also, wtf is wrong with you. You obviously know you aren't violating laws in your state so what are worried about?

Even if HK has a company policy against selling to civilians that shit means squat.

When you sit down and type a post, do you ask yourself: "How can I make myself sound like an even bigger moron"? One thing I have noticed among gun boards is the variations in one's interpretation of the 2nd Amendment. That said I am almost positive that any intelligent individual (regardless of their opinions on gun ownership) would agree that you do not deserve a functional firearm. They are legal if there is no state law banning them in your state. Don't pay attention to the markings. I think they maybe old mags that were made during the ban (not sure on this, just guessing).
