Rifle Scopes magnifier for vortex?

Re: magnifier for vortex?

The strikefire and sparc both come with a 2X screw on magnifier, if that's not enough I spose you could spin it off and use a tandem magnifier. If you're not talking reddot type sights then you apparently need a different power optic.

Re: magnifier for vortex?

I have the Vortex VM3X with the swing mount. I like it a lot, my only complaint is that my BUIS interferes... I've seen folks that have used a straightedge and a razor knife to modify the rubber cover on the magnifier to clear.

ADM makes the swing mount for Vortex - ADM offers two heights of the swing mount, but only the low is available in the Vortex bundle.

When I ws ready to buy, I pulled all the magnifiers we sell out of inventory, and tested them inside the building and outdoors, and the Vortex is one heck of a bang for the buck.

I'm looking forward to our first shipment of the Burris AR-Pivot ring:

Burris originally released in in 2009, but there were some copyright issues - it was re-released at the 2012 SHOT Show. It rolls sideways, instead of swinging in an arc - it should be a nice alternative to some of the more expensive products. The Samson is really nice, but out of my price range at the moment.

Re: magnifier for vortex?

If I'm not mistaken, the mount that comes with the CompM4 provides an absolute co-witness with the front post. The swing mount that Vortex bundles with the VM3X (made by ADI) will put the magnifier in line with the optic, but you may be looking at interference with the BUIS when you swing it.

The Vortex VM3X has adjustments to center the dot in the magnifier, so a perfect alignment is not necessary. Try not to lose the little adjustment key. No reason...
