Anyone have one of these? Saw one at the shop finally. It looks good, feels good, nice and smooth, and has a few upgraded retires over others in that price range. I was looking at the STI 1911's but haven't shot either one. Anyone have one or both? Pros or cons of either one would be great. Thanks

Between the two, STI all the way. The Magnum Research is essentially the 1911 that Charles Daily had designed for them but the distributors took the design to Magnum Research instead. There are some pretty good threads chronicling the process you can find with a google search.
That doesn't mean the magnum research one is bad per se; however, I would take the STI first based on the solid reputation and I, personally, would pass on the magnum research.
