Magpul announced these last year or even before that. I'm not sure anymore... but it's been a while since it was announced and I have been trying to get one. Finally found one online. For those that havent heard, this is an ARMS17 bipod mount for both Arca and picitinny rails.

First impressions, its much beefier then I anticipated. I expected polymer and instead it's all aluminum. Not a bad thing, as I'm sure itll hold up to just about anything I can throw at it.

It expands both jaws when you loosen the tension screw, so it opens and closes pretty quickly and doesnt require you to manipulate the jaws in any way to free it from the rail when removing it. The tension knob has some nice knurling and does not feel like it will be any problem to get locked down tight.

Grip on arca is good. Ill need to put it through some actually use to see how it will fare across a few rails but on the accuracy obsession chassis I pulled first to test it on, it feels great. It has two lugs that fall in between pic rail sections as well and has a nice fit onto pic.

Mounting it to an Atlas BT10 was straight forward. The mount actually has a bit of a pocket the entire bipod ARMS17 style mount slides down inside, which should make its connection to the bipod practically indestructible. I may pull it off tonight to weigh it and check it on a Magpul bipod.

Nice, I wanted a second. Been really happy with my first so far. No slipping and working well on a few arca and pic rails.

I went with one of these on a new Tbac bipod which will live full time on my LMT MWS. Looks nice so far, but I'm a little annoyed with the lack of screws from Magpul. The rail grabber is thicker than an ADM QD mount and thus the normal Arms 17 screws are not long enough in my opinion. With ADM screws only 2 or 3 threads are exposed beneath the mount.

Thankfully, a Cadex monopod rail in my parts bin used 2 correct pitch flat head screws in a much more suitable length. Disappointing that magpul did not include these in the package. Otherwise it seems like a solid design.

Anymore feedback on the Rail Grabber? Trying to decide between that and the RRS.

I've had no issues with it so far. As long as you have the screws I think its a solid item. Hasn't come loose or anything on my LMT MWS where it hangs out.
