Hey guys I just dropped my Curtis vector in a kmw sentinel with the imb (mini chassis) and my mags won’t catch unless the bolt is either all the way back or completely removed. I’ve tried a 10 round AICS and 10 round AW. The AW won’t lock in unless I smack it really hard while the bolt is out of the way. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I looked at the mag after it locked in and basically it’s sitting way too high and the bolt is hitting about halfway down on the feed lips so it’s way too much to grind off.

    Any suggestions on fixes? Thanks

The mag latch on the SENTINEL DBM is on the absolute long end of spec. This is to allow people that have AW mag compatible receivers the best chance of having them run reliably. Standard Accuracy International AICS style 5 and 10 round mags will sometimes have issues latching before hitting the bolt body or receiver bottom.

Course of action in that instance is to remove the latch and take about 0.015" from the length of the latch while preserving the angles of the tip. Reinstall latch with a 1/8" punch holding it in place rather than the original roll pin so you can test fit and function. If still too tight, Remove another 0.005 to 0.010" and retry. Once you hit your target, re-install the roll pin.

When trying to make stocks and DBM to work with 80 gillion actions and then having people throwing in other types of non-Accuracy International magazines, this was my choice to handle the huge geometry variations we have to accomodate.

WAY easier to take material off versus adding what you need.

Send me the mag latch or the complete DBM assembly if you cannot handle otherwise.

    Be safe,

    Terry
