Maintenence of a phosphatized gun ?

Do you still need to oil it or can you leave it as it is ?
How do you maintain yours ?
I do understand that I stil need to clean the "inside" of the gun.

Wipe it down with some oil, wipe it dry.

If it gets a little surface rust, repeat the above.

If it's going to be a hard use weapon, get it refinished in a more resistant coating.

Even Krylon is better for rust prevention.

Parkerizing or phosphate is not a metal protection. It's made to hold oil which is the protection. Like LW said rub oil into it and wipe off the excess. Just leaving it dry will promote rust.
