I was getting ready to buy some .35 Rem brass, but then started to wonder if I could just make my own .35 rem. brass from all the extra Fed match .308 brass I have. My understanding is that the .308 is the parent case to the .35 rem. Can I just run my .308 brass through my .35 rem resizer die, or is there more to it? Anyoine know? Thanks

No, it can't be done. Head diameter of the .35 Rem is some 15 thou smaller than the .308. And it predates the newcomer .308 by some 40 or so years.

My rule of thumb; if I can buy it without getting into excessively priced products (and I consider Lapua brass to be excessively expensive), or having to add a significant order wait time to my purchase, why make it?

For example, Remington .260 Rem brass is available on order for me, but Win 7-08 brass is available for me off-shelf. So I would be more motivated to buy the Win 7-08, and run it through the .260 F/L die.
