I am wanting to make a drag bag to case my rifle in the field. I want to have a Pelican case to travel with but I can't afford that right now and would like something lighter for the storage long term. Have any of you made one in the past? What ideas could you give me to make it right. I plan on using it to transport my rifle as well as use it for a shooting pad in the field. What features do you like in a case and what do you think aren't worth it?

A buddy of mine put like a roll of foam at the front to preload his bipod on that works pretty slick. There is also a seam in the middle so on the field course we shoot you ust pu the rifla in the middle and grab the handles to carry the rifle. Another thing I always liked on some others was a pouch for a hydration bag and shell loops.

Backpack straps so you can pack it easily. Always a help if you're heading to the woods.
