Why would people let themselves be locked in a store if some bad stuff was going down? I would rather take my chances running away on my own than be trapped with the herd hoping the bad guy doesn't decide to open up on the nice packed-in crowd.

Or am I not thinking it through?

This shit happens everyday but because of Friday's shooting we're going to see these minor shootings get a higher billing for a while.
