Manners LRH w/Hawkins Hunter dbm

Just got my Manners LRH long action stock in. I ordered it for long action Hawkins M5 hunter bottom metal. When I test fit it the sides of the bottom metal show just behind the Arca plate. I assume in a short action this doesn't show. When making the stock for a long action do they use the same stock and just mill out farther forward? It doesn't bother me to much, just aesthetics.

Yes they use the same stock mold for both long and short action.

Yeh that's completely normal. My 300 Norma looks the same.
