im about to order an mcs t for my gun and cant make a decision on the color. i like the tan shades of color, desert sand is too white for my liking and OD is too bland so i think i want coyote tan. any pics of any style manners would be appreciated and please say what color it is. thanks

MCS T1 built by GAP & finished by LTM (while he was still on good terms around here)....

As to the colors... I just asked for desert camo....

Re: manners pics needed

Are you talking about their painted finish, or the new molded in colors?

Here's my T4A Todd painted Coyote that I let go in a trade in a moment of complete idiocy:

nice guns btw. im still not 100% sure im going with a mcst over a t3. i go back and forth daily almost. </div></div>

I don't know, I told GAP to go with a desert tan/grassy/darker earth colors. It turned out just fine.

Re: manners pics needed

no not the new molded colors. i will not be going with a camo scheme either, just a solid color. im still leaning towards coyote tan. still cant decide on T or T3 though. im ready to buy one right now but dont want to get a t and wish i had a t3 later on or visa versa

Re: manners pics needed

Coyote tan SL on top, and an OD green T on bottom.
The inside lighting is pretty crappy. I can never remember to take any pictures when I'm out hunting...unless I kill something.

I'm not 100% sure what the colors are. I told Todd that I really liked my old BDU's and wanted the camo pattern to look very similair. I think he did great. This is of course a painted stock. I have read that they are starting to mold colors in but haven't seen one.

Re: manners pics needed

I can't remember what color my T4A was when I ordered it. I think it was Earth Brown. Phantom Finishing painted it with desert daisies a couple of months later though.

Re: manners pics needed

Jack, I like both stocks. The SL has a #1 contour barrel in it and it makes for a pretty light rifle, at least it was until I put the NF on it. It's worth the compromise to me though.
It's a lot trimmer "sporter" stock, and it has a cheek piece. It's super stiff, and it's never felt fragile at all.

The T is a little heavier. It's got a higher comb, and the fore arm is fuller. I've got a 700 26" Varmint in it.

Thanks! My rifle gets more attention than I do when I'm shooting because of them... And I don't get it confused with anyone else's rifle anymore either.

in the pic is a msct on a stiller action in 260 remington

i also have a mcm hgt and i prefer the manners feel to the mcm but both are great stocks

Re: manners pics needed

fw707- what made you choose a T over a T3? i go back and forth between the two almost daily. im having trouble deciding. i hate the sharp angles on my 700 sps-v's factory stock. i have big hands and i think the wide forend would be comfortable and fit me well as long as the it was smooth/rounded

Re: manners pics needed

Jack, the Manners website doesn't show a bottom view of the T stock forend, but it's basically a slightly fuller sporter style.
I got the stock for a hunting gun and it's going to spend more time on shooting sticks than bags, so I went with the narrower forend.

good point, i hadnt thought about that. i guess if your going to shoot off a bipod or sticks, having the wider forend is not an advantage, but maybe a disadvantage.

Roscoe is building me a carbon fiber .223 in a T2 with this same flectarn. I chose the combination from a pic on Manners site. Yours looks like the exact same rifle on their site.

Thank you much. I had no idea how it was going to look until I had it in my hands. I couldn't be happier with the result.
