I am currently trying to decide between a PRS-2 and T2a-GAP. I understand the PRS is more squared and a little more narrow.

Would love opinions as to which you prefer and why(or other Stocks as well) Thanks!

Ok, what are you using it for?

I do not have any experience with either one of those Manners stocks. I have owned the T4 Tikka, and multiple T5As. The T5A is my absolute favorite stock from manners, and I like it better than the McMillan A-Hole and any thumbholed chassis. But I like thumbhole stocks.

If you are a 5'9-6'2 kind of guy it probably won't matter what stock you choose. If you are beyond 6'2 or shorter than 5'9, I'd call Manners and ask them.

I have also owned McMillan A-5 for a long time, and used the A-3 Sporter a lot. For a non-adjustable stock the A-3 Sporter is one of my all time favorites.

I prefer a more square stock in the forend. I have a lot of other stocks that drive me crazy for positional shooting because it is harder to deal with a round surface.

Good info. Thanks. I am using it for target shooting mostly. We hunt in deer stands, so weight is not really a concern if I do lug it out in the woods. I was leaning more PRS because I think the square shape looks cool, but it’s hard to say because I have seen neither in person. Yeah, I am 6’2”, so like you said most should fit me.

I have both. The PRS2 on a 26" 6 BRA and the T2AGAP on a 28" 300PRC.
The GAP, to me, is better suited for the larger caliber, heavy contour, longer barreled setups.

You'll like either.

I have both and both work well. If you plan to shoot matches then you will probably put Arca on so actual forend width isn't going to make much difference with a plate. If no plan to use Arca then the T2A will give a little more surface area out front but the PRS will sit will on a game changer bag too.

Really no wrong answer as both are excellent stocks but just personal preference. You like the more squared forend then get the PRS-2.
