I have a stiller tac 30 a/w and am in the market for a stock for it, I would like it sooner than later and stocky's has the one I want in stock.(t2 w/mini chassis DBM) but it is inletted for a standard 700 s/a, will the tac 30 aw drop in ok or should I order one straight from manners with the tac 30 inlet?

Thanks

Steve

The Stiller TAC 30 is a Rem clone so it will work in the stock. Three points to check, Action screw length, side bolt release and bolt handle cut out. You may need to to some minor fitting of those. Im not sure how wide the recoil lug is that comes with the TAC 30 but double check that its not binding in the mini chassis lug area. Double check the mag fit in the chassis, make sure your mags feed. Remember the mini chassis has a floating rear tang. The instructions will tell you torque the front screw to 65 and the rear to 45

Ah, that is true. The stock for the Rem700 is not relieved for the side bolt release on the Tac30. It wouldn't be hard to do if you have any type of hands on skill but the Cerakote will show that you releived it because of the material you took out. You could live with it, krylon, at home Duracoat it or let a pro take care of it.

Thanks for the info guys. I went ahead and bought a Manners, but went with the t3 w/mini chassis. Now i'm having issues with the mag feed lips getting caught in the bolt flutes when cycling the action, when this happens it bends the feed lips on the mag. I know that when this occurs with a standard DBM you just use shims between the bottom metal and the stock to lower it a bit but what can I do since i'm using a mini chassis?

I have both the accurate brand 5rd mag that came with the stock and an alpha type 1, the accurate mag binds about every time but the alpha only does if I push up on it.

Thanks in advance for any help guys.
