My Manners T3 should be in tomorrow and I'm wanting to install my barreled action so I just have a few questions.

1. What torque specs is recommended?

2. Is there anything I need to do as far seating the action?

3. Anything else that I should look for and check while installing?

I'd appreciate the help its been a long wait and I'm finally putting the rifle together and just don't want to mess anything up. Once everything is installed and I sight the rifle in ill post pictures of the rifle and the groups I'm getting so far with FGMM.

Mini Chassis sorry forgot to mention that.

Re: Manners stock install help

I have had great luck with mine so far. I put it in chassis, finger tighten. Make sure everything is centered and clearing good, mine needed a little opening up with timmney trigger bigger bbl and side bolt release. Then tighten fron screw down to 65 in/lbs and then tighten rear screw to 60 in/lbs. Per the intructions that will come with it. My screws did not need shortning like it said it might. Thats my new mini chassis the first one I got I never properly torqued them but used short ratchet and didnt go crazy and it's been fine too. Also make sure recoil lug is flat and all the way to the rear of the slot its supposed to be in. Might take a few shots to get settled in. Mine has held zero perfect so far. My old one has not been shot enough to really know. Good luck and post if you have any problems.

Re: Manners stock install help

Stand it up with the butt plate on the ground/table snug front snug rear torque front the torque rear. Being that you stood it up with the recoil pad down you should get gooe recoil lug contact with the chassis.

I thought it was 60 in/lbs on the front and 45 in/lbs on the rear. That is how I remember the Manners mini chassis instructions. Do the torque specs the instructions recommended. I called Manners to confirm I was doing it right (60/45) and they said YES and gave me a the scientific rationale on why. Both of my Manners are beautiful stocks and work great! Good luck with your install!

Re: Manners stock install help

Thanks guys sure do appreciate the help. I will post pictures once I get it together. UPS still has my stock and if it wasn't for bow hunting and me sitting in the stand right now I'd be bouncing off the walls right now lol.
