I'm down to 2 weeks wait on my Manners T4 stock for my Tikka T3 Scout and while pondering all the wonderful shooting I'll do with it I thought about the way recoil notch interfaces with the stock. Does the manners stock come with a piece of steel in it or will I need to make my own to replace the aluminum one that came with the rifle? Its been so long I've forgotten what options I ordered I guess it will be a surprise when I get the invoice.

You've definitely got to post a report once you get it in... I've got a T3 Scout as well and I'm considering the Manners for it after the first of the year. Post some pics and let me know how you like it.

I'm not sure how Manners sets up his stock for the T-3 but Kinetic Research Group is making replacements out of stainless steel. PM Massoud for more information.

The Manners stock doesn't come with a recoil stop for the action, you just drop in the one from the OEM stock (just pulls out with some pliers). If you can find (or machine up) the right size piece you can fit your own which is what I did. You'll be fine with the ally piece unless its a heavy recoiling calibre, although if KRG are doing a replacement then that's the route I'd go.

So it shipped on Tuesday, the CDI bottom metal wasn't in it yet, they were out of stock but came in and shipped Wednesday. Maybe UPS will shine on me and I'll get to shoot it over the 3 day weekend
