Looks more like a Bump... of course he left out Bump

Oddly enough, 1-10 for me is a lot less interesting. I want FFP, and I want, on the lowest power to be Really Able To SEE/USE that reticle as well. I can only imagine what a reticle that looks good at 10x would look like at 1x. Im guessing it would look almost like a center cross hairs or dot ect...:)

Good shooting,
Gary

Re: March 1-10

I'm interested in the 1-10 tactical as well for my future Bushmaster ACR. I called up and spoke to Kelby. They told me they don't keep the 1-10 in stock and it will be a 2 months wait when ordering. According to them, the March do have the least POI shift of all SFP scopes, even less than Hendsoldt or S&B.

I find this funny coming from someone with 49 posts in the last month.

13 posts in 9 months. You have 65 in roughly 3?

I doubt he's running that count up to try to sell you something.

I would also like to get some info on this scope. Possibly for my AR. Seems almost like a perfect scope for it. I would take the extra weight for that zoom range over my ACOG...if it can hold up to the riggers of rough field work.

They kinda gotta say that if they want to keep their jobs and keep the company open.

I am doing a really lousy job of it since I joined the site 9+ months ago. If you noticed when the OP made the thread it was back in November and no one responded. I have been doing some research on low power variable scopes and had the same question. I used the search function on the forum and found this old thread. Instead of creating a new one, I decided to bump the original.

Re: March 1-10

I run a March 10-60x52 'tactical' model on my F-TR gun (I say tactical because that's what March call it, not what the application is). I shoot it on 20x mostly during our summers here, when temps get up to 105 - 120f and can successfully use it at about 40x in our winters, which are pretty light on compared to parts of the States. I only ever use the 60x when spotting for other shooters, so the extra 20x is a bit redundant.

What I can say about the March scope is that it tracks like it is on rails and the glass is on par with S&B, Premier and Zeiss Diavari (Same lens used in Hensoldt line), since I've owned all three. Subjective on the glass, I know but the mechanical tracking is extremely reliable. Mine is in 1/8th moa clicks but I think you can get most of them in 1/4s. If they did them in mils, with mils reticle, I'd definitely go for one for field shooting, as what surprised me most of all is that the scopes are actually quite rugged. I was expecting something more 'delicate' and was pleasantly surprised. Not as bomb-proof as an S&B or Premier in external engineering terms, or NF NXS - but probably a shade ahead of Leup MkIV, etc. Worth a look - but pricey.

Glenn,

Thanks for the link. I might try March for my next scope.

Re: March 1-10

So, I know this thread is way old, but I still have the same question? Has anyone actually used the 1-10, I've seen a couple of reviews of the 2.5-25, but nothing for the 1-10.

I have :D

It's a pretty nice scope. I can't say I'd pay the price tag mainly because my guns are work guns and I'd be afraid to scratch it or something lol. The platform I would run it on if I bought it is currently set up with 2.5-10 which has been working great.

It's super clear although I did have a hard time getting it to focus initially but once I did I was impressed. I'm not sure I care for the "push button" illumination adjustment over the "dial-a-setting" maybe I didn't play with it enough.

My favorite feature was the 1-10 range. Dialed all the way back to 1 it could almost be used as an entry gun. Back out to 10x and you have a intermediate precision weapon (if you put the practice in :) ) Overall an amazing piece of glass. You get what you pay for with this piece but is it worth the price compared to other stuff on the market??? Idk cause I'm not an expert

Sierracharlie out....

Yup, I've been running mine for a year and a half now.

I like it. It is small, tough, light, and that 10x range is just plain awesome. It sits on my AR and lets me dial down to 1x for short range and 10x to go long. Plus, it has 200 MOA of elevation adjustments which means if I transfer it to my 22LR, I can shoot waaayyy out.

I've had the March 3-24 & 5-40 for almost 9 months and continues to function flawlessly and seem rugged enough to handle most situations you'll run into. It's small size is a huge plus. Agree that with 5-40 here in Arizona summer usually have to use 20-24X doe to mirage, but in winter 40X is amazing and use for spotting scope also. Both of mine are mil/mil and would not switch back to MOA. Just shoot paper and steel, so have no need for illumination. You can't go wrong with these Deon products.

I've read nothing but good things about March...compact and solid but the illumination button seems a little hokey. I would think the rubber/silicone cover would degrade over time. Is Kelby the only US distributor?

Can't speak for any potential degradation of the illumination button since I've only had mine for a comple of months. Doesn't seem to be be an issue for March or any other high end manufacturer. Yes, Kelby is the only US Distributor.
