Hey guys hows it going?

Im the Chief Scout Sniper of a Marine Sniper platoon getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan in the upcoming weeks. If anyone has any type of gear they would like us to test and evaluate, you can email me at

Basically looking for things that will increase the survivability of my teams in the platoon, as well as aiding us in helping complete our missions.

This isnt me begging for free gear, but I do know that often times vendors like to see how their gear/optics hold up in combat. Figured I would see if anyone is interested.

Rogers,
I can't say I have much in the way of gear, I will check to see what I have left. My best advise to you is ensure you have the means to carry a minimum of 1 gallon of water per day on an op. We usually went out with 4 to 5 gallons per man. I will check to see if I still have the old 4 quart bladders. Our standard OP was 4 days and movement through those mtns with about 130 pounds of gears is not fun. You will shed any non essential gear after the first trip out.
