Two coats of One Shot case lube...works like a champ.

Shake the can well though....

I like a spray on release agent because it's faster, and easier to get complete coverage.

Re: Marine Tex - Release agent ?

I've been using ER 200 from Mann Formulated Products. I haven't delved into bolt actions yet, but have used it on M1A's and M1 Garands.

Good thinking there:) Easier to remove as well.

Re: Marine Tex - Release agent ?

SC Johnsons Paste wax in the big yellow can. Available at ace hardware its like 8 bucks. Works sweet nice finish and sheen on bedding and not oily.

Re: Marine Tex - Release agent ?

#1 for the Johnsons Paste Wax. I've tried many, and I get the best finish from it. All of the above work fine also. Good luck.

Re: Marine Tex - Release agent ?

johnson's paste wax works good enough that i haven't felt the need to look at anything else.

Re: Marine Tex - Release agent ?

I used Kiwi shoe polish, worked great. Got some aerosol stuff from Chad, works great and super fast and easy. Can will last quite awhile too.

A single can of Johnson's lasts about 40 lifetimes if you only bed 8,000 rifles a day.
