Rifle Scopes Marking Turrets

What would be best to use (different kinds of pens) to mark turrets? Something that won't rub off but can be removed. For example drawing lines on turrets to indicate zero for specific loads or other indications which may be needed.

I did a couple of searches and came up with nothing

I actually took an address label and trimmed it to wrap around the turret. Once it was on I added all the markings I wanted then covered everything with a piece of clear packing tape. When its time to take it off just peel it off and use a little goo gone to take off the extra adhesive.

I just use the band-aid brand waterproof tape and a sharpie.
