marlin 925 barrel swap

I bought a Marlin 925 for a trainer. I'm wanting to put a Boyds tacticool 917 stock on it. But, the rifle has a standard barrel and I would like to switch to a heavy barrel to fit the barrel channel better. Does anyone have suggestions on where to get a barrel and or, get this done? Thanks for any help.

Numrich had some 880sq barrels a while back that would fit well. I have also seen some guys on RFC turning 10/22 barrels down and making them fit but I believe it is very expensive to do it that way. Getting the pressed barrel out might be quite a chore from what I have read.

Other than looks are you not satisfied with how the gun shoots with the light barrel?

Looks is all I'm talking. The rifle shoots very well, for the driver it has. I probably should have put the money in a Savage TR I guess.
