Massive floods are hitting Southeast Queensland.
So far 8 dead, 72 are still missing. QLD premier expects that the death toll will rise, dramatically.
4 of the dead are young children.

Given that 18 months ago the dams around Brisbane were below 20%, now they are nearing the 200% max capacity.

An 8m high wall of water, described as an inland tsunami, swept through Toowoomba early this morning.

Brisbane, one of australia's largest cities, is on alert to evacuate to high ground in 30 low-lying suburbs.
In addition, forced and immidiate evacuations are in place for many towns in SE Queensland.

I know there are members on the Hide from Toowoomba and the SE Queensland area.

Remoah, im telling ya bro, some weird shit is going down with this planet.

All in the one month Australia suffers Locust Plagues, Bushfires and massive flooding in QLD.

Biblical proportions?

Re: Massive floods hit SE Queensland

It is certainly a fucked up country.
WA is on fire. QLD is underwater.
The only reason there arent any deaths over in Perth is that Black Saturday was a wake up call and people take bushfires seriously now.

Re: Massive floods hit SE Queensland

I live and work in SE Queensland and the floods are the worst that people have seen in many years. Thousands have been affected and will take months, if not years to recover. I'm an operator at a Power Station, and I've had to be flown in and out of work for the past 3 weeks because of the plant being isolated with the floods. I would like to thank the people who have helped in the clean-up and donations that has made looking to the future a little more bearable. Being there for your mates are what us Aussies are about.
