Match bullets generally have more aerodynamically efficient shapes, more consistent and concentric jackets, adherence to weight, balance, and ogive shape consistency, are less concerned with controlled expansion, and have jacket metal compositions which are at least somewhat less inclined to foul the bore with copper over extended strings of fire. Exceptions include pistol bullets like wadcutters and semi-wadcutters.
