Matches around Oregon?

Hey guys, I just finished my first precision rifle build this morning actually, and would like info on any matches around Oregon. I saw the Snipers hide team competition in WA coming up in June and was wondering if that was a good match for someone who has never been to one. I have no idea where to look so all info is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Lots of good shooters in the Portland area who compete. Get on Facebook and see if you can join the Northwest Precision Rifle Shooters closed group. Most stuff gets posted there.

You have to be prepared to drive a bit. Pretty much everything is in WA state. Matches at Tac Supply, UNSC, and Rattlesnake are all doable as a Saturday day trip. Blue Ridge I'll drive up the night before and camp then drive home after the match - it's an awesome facility. Rock Lake and Wenatchee are a bit far to drive just for a one day match from Portland but I did shoot the 2 day finale at Rock Lake last year. Snipers Hide Cup is WAY out there, and will be a very tough first match to attend. Awesome and a challenge for sure, but you might want to try smaller matches first.

UNSC has a monthly match the first Saturday of every month, $20 entry fee, super low key and friendly. Only about 2 1/2 hours away in Eatonville WA. Show up on Saturday morning at 9am and tell them you're a new shooter. They'll get you squared away and give you help through the day. They post the info on Facebook usually the night before. Next one is May 6th.

Located east HWY 20 of Bend, Oregon is the "Great Basin Precision Rifle/GBPR" @ cossapark.com The club has a 200yd - 1760yd Match. GBPR 2017 Match schedule is April through October.
