Looking for some pictures and Ideas of Matchstick Targets or something along those lines for Precision 22LR shooting. Been tinkering around with really simple ideas for backyard benchrest shooting 50yds max distance, something a lot more challenging than the normal know your limits setup. Below is my first rough draft but there's not too many pics out there, thoughts...?

I was at a match a couple of years ago that did something similar. Each stage had a different gun with a different challenge. The bonus shot on the precision rimfire one was a match stick at 50 yards. It was a lot of fun and really challenging.
Another fun was was cue tips at like 25 or 30 feet with a Ruger Mark II.

I like the Q-tip idea that might be a good one to try if we cant hit the toothpicks. If we aren't at a long range with centerfire rifles my Dad and I really like to get into some shit talking and get the 22LR's out, crack a couple cold beers and challenge each other so I'm trying to make an array of really challenging targets we can have fun shooting off the patio.

A few pics of matches , splitting play cards and small KYL 5/8" down to 3/16 " at 50yds.
Mark

Entertainment targets are important to ensure the kids involvement.
Over the years we've used quite a few.
Paint balls glued to a string at 3 inch intervals.
Hung vertically and start at the bottom, shoot to the top.
Snap-n-pops glued to a cardboard backer provide a second bang to every hit.
Oyster crackers provide a visual splash when hit.
Foam golf practice balls on a string make great swingers.
No ricochets, bullet passes through the foam, leaving ball intact.
Weed stalks on the backstop are a challenge to trim down to dirt level.
Plant flowering annuals on the berm and blast the flower heads.
A package of aster seeds will bloom all summer.

That's what I'm talking about, all good stuff thanks for the ideas...
