Mauser action

I just recently acquired a Mauser action rifle which I believe is a Spanish action. The saftey is not working properly on it and I am trying to identify exactly what action I have. I have watched several videos on different Mauser actions but I haven’t found on with the saftey having a tiny spring in it. I don’t see a detent for the spring or an place for a detent to go so I’m not sure of the purpose of the spring.

Thankyou Jake.

Some. So you have a heavily sporterized Spanish Mauser… likely 1970’s conversion when skip line was all the rage.

Safety repair should be straightforward.

It’s nicely converted and will make a good shooting deer or sporting rifle. Not any point in restoring it to military.

Parts should be available from Numrich. Gun parts Inc of West Hurley, NY if you need any parts. Search for an exploded view online. Numrich probably had one.

Cheers, Sirhr

Saftey repair does look really straight forward my only issue is I’ve never seen one with that tiny spring and want to make sure it’s not need for anything or if I’m missing a piece

Show us the left side of the receiver ring. I think M43 based on what's left of the crest, but that's my guess.

Thankyou for your help left hand side of action
