Been watching and learning from the forum for a while, so I finally joined. Still lots to learn, but since I'm old, there isn't enough time.
I've always wondered why we identify all Mauser inspired designs as a 'Mauser Action' (like a Winchester Model 70), but we kill ourselves trying to avoid the media-induced bias against 'AR'. We contort ourselves with titles like 'modern sporting rifle' and other such nonsense; Why not just call all Stoner inspired designs 'Stoner actions'? No need to explain that it's an 'Armalite Rifle', not an 'Assault Rifle' -- It's just a Stoner Action rifle.
Now I'll shut-up and continue learning.
