Can anyone tell me what the max load is for a .243 with 115 Dtac BN bullets using H1000 or H4350?

Not sure where to find this data, my book doesn't have it listed.

Thank you much.

Re: Max 243 Load With H1000 and H4350?

Going to depend a bit on freebore present in your chamber.

H4350 I'd suggest you start about 41.5 and work up, probably find a nice node about 42.0 gr +/- a couple of tenths.

H1000 is too slow IMHO for 243 w/115 DTAC. H4831sc maybe but not H1000, just can't get enough in the case.

Get your 243?

We run Retumbo pushing 105 Berger VLD....It is not burning to slow...

How much of retumbo and how fast were you pushing it? I use the 105 scenars and pushing it about 3000 fps.

243 Win. 105gr. Berger VLD
49 grains Retumbo
Fed 215 or Rem Mag Rifle Primers
Winchester Brass

I am on the road for work so I don't have the FPS but I have had and seen confirmed kills out to 700 yards..

I know, but I was looking for max load, not loads other people are using.

Thanks though.

Every rifle, chamber and brass is different. What may be "max" by the book may be exceeded by some rifles. Then what works in one rifle may be too much for another. So you will have to use some trial and error to find what works for yours.

Also keep in mind that several of "match loads" or "comp loads" being used are meant to be used with moly DTACs or BN coated DTACs otherwise you will exceed pressure.
