These activists who somehow got elected to these city councils thanks to voter complacency think they are above the law. They need to get checked big time.
When you take certain positions of public trust, as part of that position you may be required to do, or not do, certain things because of that position.
Say, for instance, you are on a civil service board hearing about the termination of a city employee and you are, like a jury, supposed to be impartial and objective about the facts of the case.
If you have publicly called for the firing of that employee like this council member has in this instance, how can you be impartial in that case? You can't.
The Chief isn't being fired, but the public calling of termination of the chief by this... council member (activist not afraid of repercussions) is definitely violating the city charter based in the information presented.
