Is it possible/easy to retrofit a front end Picatinny rail (Seekins or similar) to a McM stock that has QD studs or Flush cups fitted?

Would doing so screw up any bedding in the stock?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Re: McM stock retrofit question

no it wont. Here is what i did, bought a pic rail removed the sling stug then put the pic rail where i wanted it and drilled two pilot holes for the screws about 1/8 inch deep. Then put some wood glue on the screw threads and screwed them in. Havent had any problems out of it at all. It wont screw anything up

Re: McM stock retrofit question

depending on where your flush cup is, i had to cut my rail down a little bit to still utilize the flush cup. Used a dremel cutting wheel then flatten it out, hit it with some flat black krylon

Re: McM stock retrofit question

Thanks but I'd probably entrust it to my smith as my skill levels may not be up to the job and I'd hate to fu*k up a perfectly good stock in the process....
