Just got my new build a my a3-5 after about 3 shots the adj comb is loose, what can I do to stop this??? Loctite???

i have the same problem with my A5 i'm thinking about fitting a piece of wood or pvc for a spacer under the cheek peice to keep it from falling.also after a while of tightning the thumb screws in the same spot the cheek piece dosent move easily to bad there isent something that will not back off so easy.

I took a piece of 3/8" thin wall tubing and used a tubing cutter to cut two pieces for spacers that slip over the cheek piece rods. The tubing that Home Depot sales is the perfect ID for my cheek piece rods. I have plenty leftover if you would like to try some.

I threaded the aluminum between the post and installed a cap screw. Eventually the thumb screws on the heekpiece will stop loosening. The reason it does it is the metal screw keeps digging in and at first it's in shallow so it gets the space and backs out.

on my htg adj I put a pair of allen set srecws in the side opposite the thumb wheels this has helped

I bought a Triad stock bag to give me just enough height to not have to raise the adj. Cheekpiece. Then i dont have to worry about it coming loose.

I just put a little bit of Loctite on them and kept adding more and more until they stay. They are still able to be removed but they stay put now.

And you are going to Home depot to get stuff to make it work.

I think you need to call LT. Fox and get some spacers made for the A3-5. ( if they can make them for the AI why not the A3-5

I was thinking of ordering the same stock but now I think I'll go another route. To bad they don't have an 3-5 non-adjustable model.

If the problem you have is the same as with my 40x mod stock, the thumb screws are too small in diameter. I know you can find larger diameter thumb wheel screws but can't remember where I saw them.
spacers and setscrews are probably the best idea.
