McMillan A3 stock and bottom metal

I ordered a McMillan a3 from brownells and the surgeon bottom metal. What I was wondering and probably should have asked first, will the two work together? It doesn't specify in the description. If it can be milled , that's cool, but if thru don't go together at all I need to figure out what will work! Any help would be appreciated.

if the stock was inletted for the Surgeon by Mcmillan then you will need to have that done. Other than that you should be G2G

It wasn't specified. I called brownells and they guy said he didn't see why it wouldn't fit. But I'm not sure how confident he was

Most likely it was setup for a Remington BDL or possibly a Badger M5 either way it will need to inletted for the Surgeon, It's not that big of a deal, you will want to have the stock bedded anyway so your smith can knock it out at the same time.

Thank you. I'm using spartan rifle..they're good. So I won't worry.
