McMillan Action's

Does anyone have any experience on custom builds with a McMillan action? How do they rate with the other top actions like Surgeon, Defiance etc.? They have been around for years and I don't hear a hole lot about them in here.

I do not have one, but know they are top notch. McMillan makes quality products. As a point of reference, McM is the manufacturer of the Tubb 2K: it has won more XTC and long range championships than any other rifle in the last 10 years. They are a little pricier than some other choices, but the quality is among the best.

Great actions. You hear nothing as they are very diversified. No news is good news

got the chance to handle an Tubb 2000, very nice action, smooth and solid, just like a surgeon, Bat, Barnard etc.

Can you even buy just the action? Maybe one hasnt heard much of them being used on custom builds is because you cant buy just the action?

Yes, they sell the actions separately. They are on the pricey side but very nice.
