Gunsmithing McMillan LOP Spacer System

Can this system be installed by the "average Joe" or should it be sent off? It appears from their website that it involves simple screws. I would like to add the system to an A5. Any pointers or concerns appreciated, likes or dislikes. Here's what I'm talking about since they sometimes get confused for another product, fourth item down:

It would be silly to do it yourself. First, McMillan does not charge to install it. The price is the same whether they send you the kit or you send in your stock to have them do it.

Second, from what I undertand, there is some removing glue and re-gluing and grinding involved that really make it a troublesome task for to DIY guy.

Send it to McMillan, and you will be glad you did. It will take some time as they have a lot of work orders, but it is worth the wait.

While the spacer system is easy to install, the sides of the base will have to be blended to the stock after it's bedded in place. It's not as easy as a bolt on DIY and done.
