Greetings All,
I am a long time visitor first time poster.
My question and statements to all those with the wisdom are as follows:
I have a McMillan stock with this "channel" where the sling stud can slide forward and aft. I am not familiar with this by any means due to the fact that this stock is completely new to me and I have not seen anything like it before. Coming from the picatinny generation we are in and inundated with, I find myself wanting to add a rail to the lower portion of this stock. Mainly to facilitate non-Harris bipods that utilize QD and so on and so forth.
Since it will take me far longer to describe this I am posting a picture to save a thousand words. Can someone please enlighten me to the type of "channel" this stock provides and what can I do to mount a standard picatinny rail to it. Tell me everything about what you see, erase my ignorance I beseech you.
