Gunsmithing McMillan Stock Question

I currently have an A2 that has been bedded in a Remington 700 SA. I want to put an A2 stock on my savage 12BVSS and get a HTG style stock for the Remington. Will the A2 I currently own fit the Savage or do I have to acquire a stock specifically made for the Savage?

I was looking into this too, and there are a few choices out there. Cost vs. name and I think quality make a difference.
