I am in the planning/info gathering phase for a 300 Win. I am running the Manners T4 on my Tikka and considering it for a 300 Winbuild. Anyone have experience with the MCS-DBM in this caliber and if so build details are appreciated
Branson, I have a 260 rem in a Manners T4 in a mini chassis that I shot at Woody's match a couple of weeks ago, and was the guy you came and opened up the gate for on Sunday. My good buddy and shooting partner had a 300 WM that was in a T4-A mini chassis and it fed from the mag perfectly and shot .25 moa with handloads. I love the setup on mine and wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Solid stock and has a great forearm for prone and offhand shooting. Definitely is a great choice for any rifle. Good luck.
I recently had a MCS-DBM T4A built in .300WM. It has a Timney set at 2 lbs, a pinned Badger rail, and it has been blue printed and trued. I bought the rifle with some customizations done to it but the seller didn't know much about it and the only features I found at the time was that it was in a McMillan stock and had an after market barrel. I was told the barrel was a Douglas but he didn't know the twist. I measured it out at 1/12". After the stock and blue printing I was able to develop a ¾” to 1/2" grouping load using 210 VLD's. I’ll' eventually get a 1/10 twist Schneider barrel installed.
