I'm not sure if this a magazine or a bottom metal problem, dont really care, just need a solution.
Built a new 223 rem 700 and the front to back fit of the exterior of the magazine is loose and when shooting the font of magazine falls forward till it hits the bottom metal and is causing the rounds to nose dive into the feed ramp and jam. If I push up on the front of the mag it feeds like butter.
I put a couple layers of tape on the front of the mag and it helped but is a bitch to get it in the bottom metal smoothly.
My other solution is the ad a small amount of epoxy to the back of the catch on the magazine to push it forward into the front of the bottom metal.
Anyone have a different idea on this?
