I was fortunate enough to pick up an ACC chassis off the PRS finale prize table. Thanks to @MDT_Josh & @MDT_OFFICIAL for that.
Even bigger thanks for going above and beyond to fix me up after a stupid gaff on my end wrt that...
After a couple weeks on the road I'm finally home and moved an action into it last night.
I was slightly surprised when the folder on it folded to the "bold knob side" of the chassis versus the "bolt release side" for a right handed chassis, and I was confused because I've never had a folder that went that way.
Thats when it dawned on me that they had taken the time to make sure that the bold knob on a 90 deg throw rem 700 would fit into one of the cut-outs in the chassis stock. That means you can fold it and the bolt is tucked into the chassis saving you about an inch of width without having to remove the bolt before tucking it into a cas
I went back to 2 other folders I have and looked at what would happen if they folded the other way... wouldn't work.
I haven't even gotten behind the chassis yet to see if I like it, but as an engineer I wanted to give a shout out to MDT for even bothering to think about something as minor as that when looking at which way a chassis could/should fold and how it nests
