I have a Remington 5R in 260. Converted to an MDT ESS chassis. Torqued action down to 60 inch pounds as recommended by MDT but seems accuracy is not quite what it should be. Any of you guys running this chassis played with torque settings for better accuracy? Where did you seem to find best accuracy? I know this can vary gun to gun but hoping someone can get me pretty close. Thanks in advance.

How did it shoot before the switch? Did accuracy decrease when you changed?

Best group I had was 14 shots in about 5/8" at 100. Now I'm struggling to stay at 1". I bought new Peterson brass and can't seem to get a load to shoot right (may be the problem). Have tried 3 bullets and several powder charges to no avail. I really don't think it's the chassis but having trouble finding my problem. I also added a brake maybe I should remove it and shoot a few groups. Maybe go back to HS stock to verify and then back to chassis?
