Mdt oryx or krg wiskey?

Zero effort questions get zero effort answers. Gonna have to provide more info about what's wrong with your current stock, what you want to do with the new one, what features are important to you, etc. Otherwise any responses are literally just guessing.

The stock that it has is the stock synthetic stock. I'm looking to upgrade it. I want a chassis with a pistol grip and detachable magazine. It is not a hunting rifle. It will be used for steel out to 1600 yards.

If money is the limiting factor go with the Oryx...or with the KRG Bravo...which is more comparable. If you got the money for the Whiskey then look at the other MDT options. My owner bias is the MDT ACC.

I’ve never handled a whiskey but the KRG Bravo has great ergonomics. I can’t believe this wouldn’t be true of the whiskey. The ergonomics on the oryx make it a hard pass for me.

I have an oryx on my 6.5cm. It feels ok. I'm wondering why the KRG would feel different? Different angles, or balance or what. Is the thumb wheel adjustable cheek rest and LOP worth the extra money?

I have the whiskey 3 on my 6.5cm T3x and I love it. All the adjustability of it and looks. It’s comfortable to shoot. But it’s also the only chassis I’ve owned so I’m kind of impartial to it.

The Oryx is something MDT did for Legacy Sports/Howa to sell as their own chassis. It's an entry level chassis relatively devoid of features found on the top tier chassis but at a good price point. It's more in the realm of our Bravo chassis.

You'll be good to go with either one (Bravo or Oryx). I'm biased toward the Bravo of course and I can say that there's a reason we see guys put a Bravo on a build with a top tier custom action, trigger and barrel (even though that was not our intent). It's a good time to be in long range!

I picked up the wiskey 3. I started playing with the adjustments on it. What really stands out is the height adjustment on the but pad. That makes it more of a personal fit. I did not know what I did not know. The Oryx fits good. The wiskey 3 fits great. Is it worth twice the price? That is a hard call.

Like @Massoud said, they are very different platforms and tricky to compare. Pick whatever suits your needs, checks off the boxes that are important to you and go shoot :D Lots of great options on the market right now and so much modularity.

I picked up an Oryx when they first came out. It is the only only one I've ever shot. I'm quite happy with it. The wiskey is second hand. I would not have gotten it for full price. Thanks everyone!
