Was going to buy the MDT XRS but stumbled upon the Woox chassis. I have to say the Woox is great looking, are you able to put a arca rail and add weights to the M Lok slots on the Woox? Anyone have experience with the Woox or is the MDT XRS a better chassis? Thanks guys.

Yes, MLok is a defined standard that is compatible regardless of who buys it or builds it.

Personally, I find the plastic-bolted-on-a-frame looks of the XRS, Bravo, older AIs, etc. insanely ugly and I wouldn’t want one in my safe. That’s not to say they’re bad chassis systems, I just don’t want to look at them. To that end, I’d go with a Woox over an XRS.

I’d go for an ACC, ESS, or ARC Xylo for a more functional chassis, though. I don’t like that you need to get a bottom metal to work with the Woox chassis; that adds additional things that can go wrong with getting the system to work together, and the resulting potential for more fitment work.

All good points. I really want the ACC but this will be a hunting/plinking 1000 yard gun, would the ACC be ok to hunt with? I like rifles on the heavier side for all purpose anyway. I don’t really like the looks of the plastic over mold either that’s why the Woox caught my eye but if the ACC would be ok to hunt with that would be my first option.

Really depends on what kind of hunting. The XLR Element V3 Magnesium/carbon is one of the lightest systems out there with an adjustable cheek - at 28oz it’s lighter than all but one stock with adjustable cheek - and that’s my choice for hunting chassis systems, especially after carrying an MDT ESS 14 miles with a couple miles net elevation change. Not a fan of weight for that.

If it’s tree stand, or canyon/field overwatch, or something like that, I think an ACC would be hard to beat with an ARCA-mount Game Changer bag or tripod.

Also, last I checked, the Woox was short action only. That might be a factor for you.

It would be for tree stand, canyon/field overwatch ect. I live in Texas but also hunt in Kentucky and Wyoming. I have a Tikka barreled action 6.5 CM I will be using. I probably could get away with a ACC for that use.

I'd skip all those choices and buy a KRG Whiskey-3

Had the WooX chassis in my hands this past weekend at a gun show. it was weird Bc I’m currently looking for a chassis to replace my greyboe in a .22 (vudoo) but I want to get down and dirty with training, not be more worried about the finish than the stage of fire.
however if I had a “safe queen” that I wanted a chassis on I would 105% order one of the more exotic wood offerings.
