Has anybody tried it? Does it work?

Especially interested if PLRF models can do it. Trough plexiglass with range gate or from open door.
I know it works trough normal window, but no idea what happens if window is curved bubble.

Edit: also practical experiences regarding to electronic compass and tilt sensor from helo would be appreciated.
C - model features with 2 object distance would be needed as well.

Bring your helo to my house and we will try it.

The plexi will cause some problems, not as much with a 15 as with a 10 because of the wavelength difference. The biggest issue will be the ability to hold the reticle on target. If the target is very large, say house sized, and the helo is moving slow, you should be OK. The inclinometer will work, just remember it is limited to 45 degrees. The compass is unlikely to give you an accurate reading due to the proximity of so much metal. You'd have to test it on the ground on some known bearings to see just what the offset was, depending on just how precise you need to be

Thank you for clarification Cory.

In this case only measuring to terrain spots is needed, not to individual TGT.
Sounds like Terrapin should work well enough.
