Mega Trigger

Anybody using the Mega trigger? Heres what I am doing, I am building one of the yet to be released Mega billet ambi lower and upper with a Noveske barrel. Im using a Fail Zero BCG with the coated hammer and thought that chrome or black trigger would compliment it. Its either this or a Giessele trigger. Any comments/experience will be appriciated . I watched the video on Raniers site looks like a great product, but when someones selling you something....

Re: Mega Trigger

I think I will give it a try unless someone has negitive feedback with it, Im hopeing that the slick finish on both the FZ trigger and the Mega trigger will provide a really smooth 4.5# pull. The group buy for the lower is not being shipped until mid Feb (if we are lucky) so I won't have any reports until at least March if I go this route.

Re: Mega Trigger

gotta say it looks cool--I was gonna try one as I've tried almost all avail but was waiting for some feedback here

Giess., Gold, and the Wilson triggers are all my current favorites but am always looking at the new and innovative stuff

some guns can be so cool-loking----that's why there are so many
safe queens for sale

Re: Mega Trigger

trigger let-off is a function of springs......

the savvy try to get as close as possible to a tweeked bolt gun trigger......not what the latest go fast shit that gets publshed in the print media is selling.....

Re: Mega Trigger

What I meant by compliment was function not looks or droolness factor. The reason I posted about this trigger was for the use the supplied Fail Zero hammer that comes with the BCG. To my knowlege there is no other trigger only upgrade availible all come with the hammer and springs. Wanted to duplicate the feel of a good single stage while having a reliable trigger. Anyway <span style="font-weight: bold">if</span> I do get the chrome trigger it we be painted over with some shit color Krylon paint anyway, like most of my guns. If you guys have better suggestions let me know, thats why I posted.

Re: Mega Trigger

If you're referring to the Mega Tactical Trigger, I just installed one (haven't fired it yet) in an MA10. It is a 4lb 8oz pull exactly as advertised when used with Milspec components from a standard LPK. Unfortunately the pull is significantly longer and grittier than I had hoped. Again, I haven't fired it yet. It will likely smooth out some. Who knows if it will be enough. Mine is the non-chrome version, btw.

I bought a 4# Bill Springfield. It's a crisp single-stage trigger, but the one that I received / installed breaks at 5½#. I would opt for the 3# if I could do it over again...

Wilson Combat TTU is a very nice drop-in unit that breaks at 4#, but price is relatively steep ($250+).
