Mentally handicapped white kid beaten by gang members- again

That kid is a douchbag, he deserved to get a little shit. He's fucking 20. He sees the cop and immediately does a 180 and heads home. He deserved the stop for his behavior.
I'm not detecting the sarcasm in this text... But no sane person would seriously post this.

My nephew is high a functioning autistic. He is one of my favorite people in the world. I do whatever I can to be the supportive uncle.

As I have also said, my closet friend is a cop. A career lieutenant LT. I have discussed my fears with “K” (my nephew) interacting with police and he has told me my fears are very warranted. Autistic people can become overstimulated and have unreasonable spikes of anxiety. Avoiding “situations” (cops) is one of the ways they deal with that anxiety.

The people here saying “well he is 20” must not realize that an autistic “kid” at 20 can have the mentally awareness and ability of a 14 or 15 year old. Still society is intent on shoving them into adulthood, in spite of this fact, based purely on chronology. It is ignorant, and it is harmful.

This jackboot thug should be fired and charged. Walking across the street and stopping because you see a cop and going the other direction is not a crime. As a civil libertarian, anyone who thinks it is, has their head stuck squarely up their asshole.

I support cops and this is probably largely a training issue. This is why I constantly say police need their training completely revamped. This interaction should never have happened and that is on the paid, trained, professional who initiated it.

Lucky for him he was observed by an asshole with a badge and for our amusement they collided.
Walking in your house means a pig can pull you out with no warrant or anything else - is this a dismountsdick burner account ?

well,he did protect the neighborhood from the serious crime of walking across the street and going home. and the gov gives these thugs a gun and permission to use it. unlike defending yourself against some gang banger, you have no chance to defend yourself against this kind of pig shit.

Honestly I didn’t watch it just going off this comment. If I’m leaving the house, decide not to go or I forgot something, and a cop happens to roll by as I turn around I deserve to be questioned?

Well, if you aren't doing anything wrong what's the problem? Just answer all of their questions, show them your papers and thank them for keeping you safe.

Of course once they see your giant dildo you're going to be solicited for dates.

Autism is the new vegan/whatever fad now. I’ve seen people claim ADHD/ADD is a form of autism lol

It's a spectrum. Most people with ADHD do have other signs of autism, but it's also over-diagnosed and big pharma pushes pills.

You are the douchebag. There are these things called civil rights, where you can peaceably avoid law enforcement if you so desire. He did nothing illegal, but they wanted to harass and bully him for their own entertainment.

It's mind bending how few cops know or understand autism. It's also fucked how many cops immediately escalate situations when they're supposed to be trained to deescalate and avoid violence.

I'd love to see the warrant they were going to get. "He suspiciously walked across the road into his house."

My half-cousin is autistic. Full on repeating himself and stimming constantly. He's also a giant with little fine motor control. I can see him doing some stupid stuff if someone tried to arrest him for nothing, and it's gonna take a few average officers to deal with him because he will know he did nothing and fight them about it. However, he's honest to a fault because at 45 years old he has the mental capacity of a 12 year old. So just calmly talking to him will go well. He also hasn't ever had a driver's license and walks everywhere.
