metplat trimming and bullet pointing?

Are you doing either? I understand how both can help, just starting to get in to this type of shooting ( past a 600 yd) and have already bought a bit of new reloading stuff, just wondering if I should buy the equipment for this or save it for later on?

past posts and personal experience has demonstrated that trimming reduces BC but adds consistency

Save it for later....it's for trying to get tiny gains at long range. If you're new at reloading then don't hassle with it at this point.

Unless your a world class shooter, you probably wont even notice the difference.

Until you have developed a load thats shoots great, and you can repeat the load time and time again is it time to deal with the Meplats



Or........................shoot Amax's and develop a process with them

First I want to say thanks to those that responded. Second not new to reloading, or shooting. But new to long distance, accurate shooting. Until now has always been inside 300yds. just tring to improve my skills and increase my knowledge.
