MG Arms?

Re: MG Arms?

Oh yes, I have two rifles built by Kerry.

A signature classic 375 H&H, Nesika bay action with hand carved maple stock, shoots ragged one holers. A pure joy to shoot.

Then a 300 wm ultralight that shoots .4's at 100 but after I got her broke in
( I should say, used to shooting the UL) nice little clover leafs.

Had my rifles built about 08-09

Another guy in spring I have been hearing good things is Aaron Roberts of Roberts precision rifles...

I have talked to him (roberts)on the phone and he is very knowledgeable and nice guy to talk to

If you want to know more just send pm

Re: MG Arms?

I was looking into purchasing a GAP Gladius from a guy on here to replace my rem 700 LTR. I have a few issuse with it and could probably rebarrel, true the action and pillar bed the mcmillian stock that its sitting in. Just nervious about the results of doing that vs. buy a rifle that is proven to be a .5 mostly better gun. Im looking for better than .5 which I know with a little ammo trial I can get the Gladuis to do without a problem. Whatcha think is the better route?

Re: MG Arms?

My advice is to buy what you want ( pick out your stock, barrel, action and so on) then get a smith to put it do the work..with a reputable smith of course..sure you could save a few bucks the other route but you want a less .5 gun...and peace of mind

Yes talk to Aaron, also I advise you to talk to several others as well. Right now I have a Stiller action being built by a guy from Stiller, he has done some work here for hide guys who swear by him so I am giving it whirl. I also am using Chad Dixon for a build right now as well.

I am like you, I strive for a gun that is .5 or less otherwise it just bugs the mess out of me. I have spent a ton of money on buying projects to make accurate builds and in the end should have just started from scratch.

Re: MG Arms?

I will also advise you on calling Aaron at Roberts Precision Rifles. He built my 6.5 Creedmoor and its amazing, just look up my build thread on here and you can see the groups for yourself! I say just true and re-barrel your LTR that way you will have basically a new gun.
