MHSA Discount doesnt apply to Vetronix Terrapin?

I just got off the phone with MHSA and ordering my Terrapin. I was told that the 5% discount does not apply to the Terrapin? Has anyone else been told this? I still ordered the PLRF, but was just surprised that the discount didnt apply.

Just a little bit of a vent I guess.

I'm sure if they could have then they would have. Some companies have very strict pricing policies, they may have not been allowed to by the manufacturer (you'd probably find NF scopes are the same way). Or there just isn't enough markup in there to give 5%.

Sometimes prices on products are controlled by the company who makes them.

I am sure the fact they give a discount on just about everything else, means their hands are tied in this case.

My experience has been that the customer service at MHSA is its own benefit. They have been exceedingly courteous, patient and accommodating with me. Sometimes a discount is not in the cards on items where profit margins may be thin, but I don't know that posting that fact really helps anyone. You did, however, support a great company.

I hope this wasnt taken as negative against MHSA, I wasnt trying to say anything bad. They have always done well for me. I was just making a comment. I would like to thank MHSA for all they do for this community.

I have heard from PRG that the profit margin on these from Vectronix is so low its essentially non-existent, so likely MHSA is not able to pass any discount along since they either won't make anything - or even would have to sell at a loss.
