I just got my Miculek comp in the mail and am attaching it to my threaded Savage .308. Obviously, I screwed on the nut first, then the comp. I can't screw the nut all the way down or the comp wouldn't sit correctly on the gun (ports would be up and down and not parallel to the gound). There is only a very small space between the nut and the end of the threads. Is that ok or do I need to find some kind of an o-ring to fill the space? Also, do I need to worry about Lock Tighting the comp?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had one on my 700aac-sd for a while.

Ran about 300 rounds and it didn't come loose. Just tighten the nut against the comp.

I would NOT lock tite it on. The crown of the rifle is going to become very dirty and youll going to want to be able to remove the comp to clean sooner rather than later.
