I picked up a box of 123 gr 6.5 BLEMS from Midway. They look very much like 123 gr SMK but who knows. I figured the weight or maybe color would be the problem but as I loaded 20 rounds tonight the weights were very consistent but the ogives were all over the place. I wanted to keep my COAL right at 2.795" but as I seated the bullets I got lengths from 2.785" to 2.810" without any changes to my seating die. Since I dont have much cost in the rounds I will shoot them to sight in my scope and start to see what bullet weight my 9 twist likes. I have bullets from 107gr to 140gr. Anyone else shoot seconds?

Re: Midway 6.5mm 123gr BLEMS

I've got a 1000 coming from Shooter's Pro Shop-Nosler's outlet store, to spread between 3 Grendels and a 6.5x47-ought to be able to see if they'll shoot between the four of them. They were under $15/100, but large batch went fast. They sell them as 'blemished' and claim no other defect. We'll see.

Midway pretty much gives away whose bullets their Blems are when they tell you how much you are saving by buying them. Cost on new Sierra 6.5-123MKs is $34.49 on the blems it has $34.49 crossed out. If they are the same as outlet bullets they are probably just cosmetic issues, no accuracy or dimension issues.
